The incident prompted immediate and frantic calls from his teammates for medical assistance. Medics quickly arrived on the scene, creating a makeshift privacy barrier with a large brown sheet as they attended to Varga. He was subsequently transported to a hospital in Stuttgart where he underwent surgery to repair multiple fractures in his face.

Following the successful surgery, Varga was released from the hospital on Wednesday. A photograph shared online showed him leaving the hospital with his girlfriend, Laura Skrapits, wearing sunglasses and with medical dressings on his cheek.
WHAT VARGA SAID
Varga expressed his gratitude for the support he received during this challenging time. "Thank you for the many messages of support. It's good to be home again," he shared in a message posted on Ferencvaros' website.
"Now there are a few weeks of rest. After that, I focus on my recovery. I've already looked back at the incident, I'm not the nervous type."

The match against Scotland, which Hungary won 1-0, was paused for nearly seven minutes as Varga received medical attention. In a show of solidarity and support, Hungary's head coach Marco Rossi, along with his coaching staff and full-back Endre Botka, visited Varga at the hospital on Monday.
