The 16-year-old, who burst onto the sporting scene when reaching the final of the World Darts Championship on January 3 and pocketing £200,000 as runner-up in that tournament, is a big Red Devils supporter and has been revelling in the opportunity to rub shoulders with his footballing heroes.

Littler was a guest of United for their 2-2 draw with Tottenham on January 14, with the youngster getting the chance to meet with legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson as well as current coach Erik ten Hag and club captain Bruno Fernandes.

Littler has been back in Manchester this week, with an invitation accepted to visit United’s training ground. While at Carrington, he stepped up to the oche against Maguire and Eriksen – giving them nine darts each with which to post a score. Maguire fared admirably, as he hit a treble 20 en route to 171, while Danish playmaker Eriksen managed 136. Littler needed just three darts in order to beat those totals, as he registered a perfect 180.
